NOTE: The following section related to course duration and start dates is applicable to Online Distance Students only.

Students attending in person or scheduled virtual classes may have set start and end dates, depending on their intake.

Course Duration

Online distance students are self-paced and can opt to either be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student. If you intend on receiving Centrelink support payments you will most likely need to enrol as a full-time student.

Switching from full-time to part-time is free, but if you require an extension beyond the part-time duration then an extension fee will apply.

Entry requirements

In order for you to gain entry into the LTi Certificate IV, Diploma or Graduate Certificate in TESOL Course, you need to have a sound level of ability in written and spoken English.

You must provide evidence of English proficiency prior to enrolment in the course. The LTi Admissions Team will then assess if you meet the course requirements based on the evidence provided.

Graduate Certificate applicants must provide a copy of their degree or relevant qualification.

Entry Requirement Evidence that you will be uploading (please tick ✓ ):

Senior secondary school (Year 12) report results showing a pass level or higher in English

Junior secondary school (Year 10) report results showing a very high level in English

Completion of a tertiary level Cert III or higher Qualification
(must have been studied / completed in English)

A university degree

Enrolment in other courses of study requiring equivalent or above levels of English ability
(e.g. University enrolment)

A result from an endorsed test of English proficiency
(IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent for Cert IV entry or 6.0 for Diploma entry)

An overseas University Degree with a major in the English Language
(transcript for your degree must be provided in English or a certified translated version)

Another form of evidence (discussed with LTi prior to enrolment application being submitted)
